Sleepy Hollow Lake Waste Water Pump Station Rehabilitation

SCOPE OF WORK:
- Project included a total of 3 valve chambers and 3 pump chambers in need of rehabilitation.
- Valve chambers required the removal of existing cast iron gate and check valves, bypass line and associated piping and replacing with new schedule 80 PVC valves and piping. Work on this stage of the project was done primarily at night, as effluent flows were at there lowest. Pump truck was on site to remove excess water until new piping was installed and back into operation.
- Pump chambers required the removal of existing sewage pumps and sent out for servicing, pump chambers were than pumped out, pressure wash and disinfected. Before entering, confined space equipment was set up and used for safety. Interior of tanks received an epoxy filler to smooth out walls and than 2 coats of epoxy paint applied to interior of tanks for protection.
- Pumps were than reinstalled after servicing and new access hatches were installed on all tanks. Controls panels were inspected and reconditioned as needed and put back into operation with new hour meters set at zero.
- Length of project took about 30 days with no disruption in flows or any inconvenience to homeowners
